After spending much of there time with Creation records, a

branch of the Sony music corporation based in London,

swervedriver have found difficulties with the fact

that there production and publishing resources are located in

the US, where they quickly gained more popularity than in

England. This was primarily due to the fact that they had

approached these organisations before joining Creation, and had

a unique sound and style, which was generalised as not being

typically "english".

Moving to Geffen/DGC, home of artists which included the likes

of Sonic Youth, Garbage, Nirvana, Urge Overkill etc. in 1996,

has given the band an oppourtunity to remain more centralised,

concentrate on new material and plan touring more practically.

swervedriver are believed to be working on material for a

new album, there first on the Geffen?DGC label. The release and

tour for there last album "Ejector Seat Reservation" was due

to fall under the guidence of Geffen, but due to contract issues

was released on Creation, and subsequantly, touring and

promotion was shorter than expected.
